Joe Parisi and Nick Nevarez of Chicago are the entrepreneurs behind Guard Llama, a personal security app that they say works 3-times faster than calling 911 in an emergency. Guard Llama is a key fob (a handheld device) that transmits your GPS coordinates when tapped twice. Why llama? Llama are known to protect livestock from wolves and coyotes. When Parisi and Nevarez pitch their business on Shark Tank (April 14), they bring a real live llama into the tank.

Guard Llama offers three different subscription plans: Basic $2.95/month for the app; Premium $9.95 for the app and handheld device; and Family Plan $29.95 the premium plan for four people. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
