In The Blacklist episode ‘Dr. Adrian Shaw’, Red (James Spader) and the task force hunt down “a mysterious individual who gives new identities to on-the-lam criminals.” Moz (Samar Navabi) gets glammed up in a tight little black dress to meet a man known as The Coroner. At the fancy restaurant, Red shows up and joins them.
The Coroner is portrayed by James Hong. The veteran actor has appeared on so many TV shows it’s difficult to count or chose which to highlight. He’s been on everything from Dragnet (in 1958) to Wonder Woman to The Cosby Show and Seinfeld (“The Chinese Restaurant” episode). Hong, now 87, is also well recognized for his role as Hannibal Chew in Blade Runner with Harrison Ford and as the voice of Mr. Ping in the Kung Fu Panda movies, among many others. The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 10pm on NBC.
