Netflix superhit Stranger Things is coming back for season 2 in 2017, but the even better news is that the whole enterprise is getting totally owned by its fans much earlier than that — on October 31 to be exact. Yes, that’s Halloween, and what better combination than the spookiest night of the year and the marvelous Stranger Things vibe?
Another thing of note is that producer Shawn Levy told SlashFilm that “we are in love with our cast and our characters” which should mean most of your faves are safe, unlike, say, on Game of Thrones. Plus they’re adding at least three new characters, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But those are for next year. On Halloween 2016 watch as the streets fill up with Elevens, Barbara Hollands, and a Will Byers or two. For those good-looking young slackers you see in jeans and a t-shirt, just assume the are actually dressed for Halloween — as Jonathan Byers.
