James Gandolfini wasn’t drinking cosmos on the weekends with Michael Imperioli and Vincent Pastore — and why should he? The Sopranos stars didn’t hear constant rumors about bad behavior toward one another because they weren’t women. That was Sarah Jessica Parker‘s take this week on Howard Stern‘s show: the rumors about all the Sex and the City stars feuding was just sexist bullshit. The Sopranos and Sex and the City were the two biggest shows on TV, yet only one show’s cast suffered the gossip. Did Parker and co-star Kim Cattrall hang out together 24/7? Not exactly, but “this was a family of people who needed each other, relied upon each other, and loved each other,” Parker told Stern.
Much as she knew the rumors about the catfights and feuds between the stars were false, it still hurt. At some point both she and Cattrall just realized they couldn’t control it and stopped trying. Stern likes to explore celeb feuds and get behind the scenes, but Parker wasn’t giving up any juicy tidbits about her sexy cosmo crew.
