Seth MacFarlane was on that bus in 2005 and don’t believe anybody who tells otherwise. You think they just invented some wild new technology that lets you just plug in the Peter Griffin part later? Well maybe there’s a sound editor for that. But it’s too good! It sounds so right. Well okay, maybe it isn’t believable — that the Family Guy was really there — but what about the Donald Trump-Billy Bush “locker room talk” hot mic tape is believable? Does the line between fact and fiction still exist?
Highlights from this genius bit of comedy include the terrific “locker room talk” clarification Griffin supplies: “Whoa that’s not locker room talk. I meant like ‘good play,’ ‘good pass’, that kind of thing.” The idea that Trump wouldn’t cough up the extra coin to give his kissing victims, say, Altoids instead of cheaper tic tacs is pretty good, too. But Griffin’s claim to have thought up something called Twitter, where “crazy people can bash ladies and minorities at 3 am” — that’s priceless. (Twitter was founded in 2006.) Have a listen:
