Trobo is a plush robot that is wirelessly connected to an iPad or iPhone (Android version coming soon). They read digital storybooks about math and science on the device to the child holding the robot. The TROBOs are also characters in the stories, which are programmed to include your child’s name in the story, too – so both TROBO and child can figure out together how honey is made and how cars works, among other things. The stories are designed for children ages 2 to 5.
After winning the Best of Toy Fair 2015 title, the makers of TROBO will pitch their product on Shark Tank. There are currently two TROBOs available – Newton (in red and blue) and Curie (pink and purple). TROBO for iOS is available on the website and on Amazon with free shipping (see above). Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
