Slyde Handboards are hand-held surfing boards. They’re designed for bodysurfers who are looking for an extra kick while riding waves. When worn (on one’s hands), Slydes create more speed and less spray back. The design is similar to surfboards but smaller (average 19.8 inches long; 10.1 inches wide). Most come with GoPro attachments and range from $160 to $200. Slyde also sells a lot of bodysurfing accessories including fins, coil leashes, straps, and board bags.

Slyde Handboards will be pitched on Shark Tank and might perk the ears of investors Robert Herjavec who invested in Hamboards, the super-sized skateboards, and Mark Cuban who invested in Tower Paddle Boards. The hard selling point for Slyde will be can their product appeal to the masses? Maybe Slyde can get President Obama to endorse the product once he’s out of office. He’s known to bodysurf when he visits his childhood home of Honolulu (see video below). Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
