Rasheeda Frost of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta owns a boutique called Pressed in Atlanta’s desirable shopping neighborhood, Buckhead. It’s a 2300 sq. ft. store which Rasheeda describes as being “downstairs and around the corner from Versace, Louis Vuitton and Saks.” She’s not the only artist on the show with a clothing store – Karlie Redd has Merci in Atlanta’s Stone Press Mall and just opened another store in Los Angeles. The difference is while Karlie says she’s still passionate about music, Rasheeda’s passion is fading.
While giving a tour of Pressed, Rasheeda says: “As you start getting older, you don’t want to be like 30, 40, and 50 and still trying to rap. You need to evolve as a woman. And I’ve evolved into fashion.” Rasheeda shouldn’t expect 44-year-old rapper extraordinaire Missy Elliott to walk into the store any time soon. Love & Hip Hop Atlanta airs Mondays at 8pm on VH1.
