Beau Oyler and Jared Aller of Oakland, California liked to garden but had a hard time keeping plants in their small city apartments. There’s no shelf space. So they designed Urbio – a modern vertical wall garden. A plastic plate is affixed to the wall and then vessels for plants are magnetically attached to the plate. The vessels are easy to take off and on, making watering plants easy.

When Oyler and Aller launched a Kickstarter campaign for their wall garden they raised more than $77k in just 40 days. Then they appeared on Shark Tank in 2013 and got a deal with Lori Greiner ($300k for 20 percent). Since then the company has been expanding including a new product line called Perch. With Perch the vessels are designed to hold office supplies. In 2015, Urbio acquired the Sabi Space line – easy to install bathroom organizers and accessories. Urbio products are available on their website and there is a wide selection of Urbio on Amazon.
