FOX’s new TV series Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life follows the misadventures of college grad Cooper Barrett (Jack Cutmore-Scott) and his twentysomething friends including the hot girl next door, Kelly Bishop. In the first episode, Cooper discovers Kelly in a dryer. She’s hiding from her boyfriend. She says she wants to “bunch up his face with my hands.” P.S. She finds guys like Cooper – those who haven’t figure out how to be a man yet – exhausting. “You’re the reason why I only date men in their thirties,” she tells Cooper.

Kelly is portrayed by Meaghan Rath. Americans will recognize the Canadian-born actress for her roles on New Girl (May), Secrets and Lies (Nicole), Banshee (Aimee King), Kingdom (Tatiana), and Being Human (Sally Malik). Millennial Canadians will recognize Rath from the teen drama 15/Love (Adena Stiles). Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life premieres January 3 at 8:30pm on FOX, right after The Simpsons.
