Squatty Potty is a toilet stool designed to help people poop better. The 7″ stool is placed in front of the toilet. When used, it helps a user get into a natural position to help eliminate faster and more completely. It’s not the most elegant product to write about but that description gets right down to the dirty details. The creators, Robert (Bobby) Edwards and his mother, Judy Edwards, pitched their potty on Shark Tank and made a deal with Lori Greiner during Season 6. Now the company will be featured on the spinoff show, Beyond the Tank.
Since the investment from Greiner Squatty Potty landed a deal with Bed, Bath & Beyond (Squatty Potty is available in all 1100 stores). To help spread the word further, the company created a hilarious and colorful video commercial featuring a unicorn that poops soft, rainbow-colored poop into ice cream cones (see video below). It’s been viewed more than 15 million times. The company clearly has a good sense of humor — and they’re laughing all the way to the bank. Beyond the Tank airs Thursdays at 8pm on ABC.
