On the Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode “Ava,” while NYPD detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) is in charge of entertaining Terry’s (Terry Crews) pregnant wife Sharon (Merrin Dungey) at the precinct where and when her water breaks, Captain Ray Holt (Andre Braugher) is forced to ask his ex-boyfriend Frederick for his medical assistance.
Frederick is portrayed by Nick Offerman. He’s best known for his roles on Parks and Recreation (Ron Swanson), Fargo (Karl Weathers), Childrens Hospital (Lt. Chance Briggs), and George Lopez (Randy). Offerman is also recognized for his work as a voice actor on the animated series Gravity Falls (Agent Powers) and Axe Cop (Axe Cop), and in movies including Hotel Transylvania 2 (Grandpa Mike). Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Sundays at 8:30pm on FOX.
