Maureen Maher is a CBS correspondent for the investigative TV show 48 Hours. While interviewing Jeanne Bishop, the sister of Nancy Bishop Langert who was shot dead along with her husband Richard in their suburban home near Chicago in 1990, Maher discovered that she had lived three doors down from where the murders had been committed.

Maher says the Langert murders case hit home because while working on the episode, her family had to deal with the sudden loss of her brother-in-law who was killed in a car accident. It is the second time her husband had lost a sibling to a fatal car crash. In a four-minute video posted on CBS, Maher compares her family’s grieving process to that of the Bishops. Maher’s interview with Jeanne Bishop will air on 48 Hours on November 28 at 10pm CBS.
