In the new NBC series Blindspot, a naked tattooed woman climbs out of a bag in Times Square. She has lost her memory – hence the Jane Doe moniker – and doesn’t know who she is or why someone would tattoo her body with cryptic messages. Doe gets the help of FBI Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) who discovers that each tattoo is a clue to a crime that, together, they will solve.

Jane Doe is portrayed by Jaimie Alexander. The 31-year-old actress is best known for her roles as Jessi on the TV show Kyle XY and as Sif in Thor: The Dark World , and (in 2017) Thor: Ragnarok. Of her role as Sif, Alexander told Interview magazine she spent a lot time in the gym, though she is used to it from her days as one of the few girls on her high school wrestling team in Texas. Alexander is now engaged to actor Peter Facinelli, ex-husband of 90210 actress Jennine Garth. Blindspot will premiere on Monday, September 21 at 10pm.
