Former NBA star Charles Barkley, who is now a commentator on Inside the NBA, also fancies himself an actor. He’s played himself on a number of TV shows including The Bernie Mac Show and Clerks. Now he’s guest starring on Suits (July 8). The trailer reveals Barkley sitting down with Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) talking about legal advice. More than 5,000 Suits fans liked the trailer on Facebook. But there’s always one naysayer in the crowd. Meet Gregory Coriolin. He wrote: “why this dude in Suits now, this show isn’t about basketball.”

With remarkable tact and respect, Suits fans politely explained why Barkley was cast for the show. Linda Mills-Minor replied to Coriolin, on the Suits official Facebook page: “You must be new to Suits. Harvey is an avid sports fan and represents many high profile athletes, namely Michael Jordan. Casting Sir Charles is brilliant and works wells into the back story for Harvey. In season three Michael Phelps had a cameo appearance.” Suits airs Wednesdays at 9pm on USA.
