A villainous metahuman named Jake Simmons, aka Deathbolt, terrorizes Starling City on Arrow. He kills people with blasts of plasma energy. In order to save the town from Deathbolt, Oliver Queen is forced to form an unlikely partnership with Ray Palmer.
Deathbolt is portrayed by Doug Jones. You may not recognize him right away, as most of his roles require tons of makeup and/or CGI. He’s best known for his roles as the Fawn and the Pale Man in Guillermo del Toto’s Pan’s Labyrinth, as Abe Sapien in the Hellboy movies, and as Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8pm on CW.
