You’re thinking the best way to get strong is the high protein scene, right? Load up on the Greek yogurt, but chill out on the carbs. Wag your finger at muffins and lick you lips and lentil soup. Well that’s the foodie fashion of the day, but here’s a secret. You can get strong eating cake–delicious cake, too.
The trick is cinnamon. Protein powder is no one’s favorite ingredient. It may be good for you at the gym, but your taste buds have never thanked you for it. Guess what? - 1 cup oat flour
- ½ cup buckwheat flour
- 2 scoops vanilla whey protein powder
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup turbinado sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1 cup almond milk
- ⅓ cup unsweetened applesauce
- ¼ cup plain greek yogurt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons sugar + 1 teaspoon cinnamon, set aside
