President Obama gave his sixth State of the Union address Tuesday night. When he walked into the House chamber, he was greeted by a flock of people – mostly lawmakers, members of Congress. Men usually got a handshake and/or a lean in hug while nearly all the ladies got kisses on the cheek.
With the exception of three women: Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan. The President does not kiss Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States at the State of the Union, even if they’re Democrats and he appointed 2 out of the 3.
