Bad Girl “Ri Ri” as she affectionately calls herself on Instagram–and as she is known by her beloved Rihanna Navy of devoted followers–performed with a myriad of “A-list” musicians this week for a Veterans Day concert on the National Mall. There was much ink dedicated to what she wore. After all, she has been repeatedly referred to as a style icon. Even when she does “wrong,” she can really do no wrong per se 🙂 Most of the time, she is perceived as just taking naked selfies or is posing in the buff for European magazine outlets. Even when she was a guest on an uproarious segment of the Chatty Man show, she took the ribbing in stride about her outrageous fashion choices and insisted she really does wear clothing.
This is evident when she goes to the studio to record, eat dinner at her favorite Italian restaurant in L.A. and spend with time with friends and family. At the star-studded concert event, she wore an elegant Tom Ford unitard and matching cape. Rihanna did “shine bright like a diamond.” Sometimes the music gets overshadowed by her lifestyle choices but Rihanna is celebrity that the public can’t take its eyes off of and is a source of endless fascination. The Barbados beauty is also a flesh and blood human being that melts our hearts when she flashes that megawatt smile that absolves all judgment at least for the moment.
