Singer Teyana Taylor is dropping her debut album VII on Tuesday, November 4 and promoting it with some sexy photos for Rolling Out. She knows what she’s doing – she has Pharrell Williams and Kanye West as mentors. She calls them both perfectionists. “So everything I do has to be perfect, it can’t be half-a—ed.”
Harlem native Taylor is flying high now, professionally and personally. She’s dating New York Knicks swingman Iman Shumpert who she calls her “peace of mind.” Shumpert has dabbled in music, too. In 2012, he released his rap song “Knicks Anthem” and in 2013, he released “Dear Kendrick” in response to Kendrick Lamar’s verse in the song “Control” by Big Sean ft. Kendrick Lamar & Jay Electronica. Control, of course, is what perfectionists seek.
