The power-player married couple on the 29th season of Survivor—Survivor San Juan Sur, Blood Vs. Water–are already fighting. Jeremy Collins is a firefighter, and Val Collins is a police officer. Big man Jeremy (who used to be in a professional indoor football league) is worried about his wife and wants to take care of her, but she doesn’t want to be taken care of. “I’m a cop. I do just fine,” she said.
Survivor host Jeff Probst thinks it’s an interesting relationship because they’re coming at the game from different approaches. Val thinks she’s good at reading people (and can manipulate them well) because she’s a cop. While “Jeremy comes at it more from ‘wanting to form’ a brotherhood.” The next episode of Survivor airs Wednesday, October 1, 8/7c on CBS.
