ClickStick is claiming to be the world’s first smart deodorant. It knows when you stink. That’s right, an internal microprocessor in your deodorant applicator will make sure that you apply the same amount of deodorant every time–unless you need more. The app records your personalized level of activity, which then dictates the amount and reminds you when you need it. You won’t apply too much–no waste, no stains. And ClickStick also boasts about being a great tool for the elderly and disabled, since it requires just one hand to operate. It’s also eco-friendly as you keep the applicator and order refills of your favorite brand through the app.
ClickStick was inspired by co-founder’s Carla Bahri’s father. “I saw my father’s mobility deteriorate due to his ALS. Simple everyday things became very challenging for him …The one-hand application feature makes deodorant application much easier for those with mobility issues that are caused by various physical limitations.” Bahri and co-founder Gilad Arwatz of Princeton, NJ are raising money for the app via a Kickstarter campaign.
