Country singing sensation Carrie Underwood announced that she’s expecting her first child with her professional hockey player husband Mike Fisher. After winning the TV competition American Idol, Underwood’s career has soared. She’s won six Grammys and sold more than 15 million albums worldwide. The only (other) bump in Underwood’s life is Fisher’s left Achilles tendon. It’s keeping him from starting this season with the Nashville Predators.
Meanwhile, Underwood’s country music peer (and rumored nemesis), LeAnn Rimes (two-time Grammy winner), is concerned about her ability to conceive. She recently argued with her husband, soap opera actor Eddie Cibrian, about the possibility of having children on their new VH1 reality TV show LeAnn & Eddie. Eddie initially didn’t take Rimes’ concerns too seriously. Something tells us he’s going to be hearing about Underwood’s big news. That is, if the producers of LeAnn & Eddie are on the controversy ball.
