Alfie Deyes is a 20-year-old English vlogger (a blogger who uses video vs. written word). If all the top vloggers in the world were to form a shared virtual universe like that of superheroes, Deyes would be Superman. Not only does he run the YouTube channels PointlessBlog, PointlessBlogTv and AlfieGames, but he’s also dating beauty vlogger Zoe Sugg, aka Zoella (or, in this case, aka Wonder Woman).
What does Deyes have that other popular vloggers like Tyler Oakley, Troye Sivan, Cameron Dallas, and Bethany Mota don’t? Guinness World Records titles, for one. He holds the title for “most bangles put on in 30 seconds by a team of two” and for “most party poppers popped in 30 seconds” with a count of 29. Second: He’s created a couple of videos with pop singing sensation Ariana Grande. And three: he’s got a book coming out. The Pointless Book will be released this month. Part journal, part activity book, sales of The Pointless Book will undoubedtly prove that vlogging isn’t so pointless after all. (For Deyes fans who can’t be bothered with holding or reading a tangible book, an app is included with the book.)
