On Season 14 of Shark Tank, husband and wife team, Kevin Lane and Laurie Lane from New Milford, Connecticut, pitch their sandcastle building toy company Create a Castle. Their sturdy plastic castle casts have dual, easy open hinges “for smooth castle making without the hassle of molding by hand; simply pack with sand or snow, and then unbuckle for simple and easy tower building success.”
Create a Castle also makes an indoor sandcastle building kit with Castle Magic Sand, which “feels like dough and holds its shape like clay.” The kit (left) comes with appropriate tools for tunnel making, tower toppers, and super detailed castle casts.

The entire Create a Castle indoor play set is reusable so kids can “Build, Smash, Repeat.”
Create a Castle’s indoor sandcastle kit is getting five-star reviews on Amazon, including this one from a customer who bought a kit for her niece and nephew. She said: “Their mom was nervous about it being messy because they had tried other products, but she said they played with it for hours and there was ZERO MESS. She said the kids described it as legos meets kinetic sand.”
