On Season 13 of Shark Tank, two entrepreneurs from North Hollywood, California, Chloe Loop and Lan Bui, pitched their business, Kawaii Lighting. It’s a line of professional ring lights — available in heart, star, and cat shapes — to help the user look their best for videos to share online (YouTube) and on apps including TikTok.
Chloe and Lan went into the Tank seeking an investment of $88,000 in exchange for 22 percent equity. They landed a deal with Barbara Corcoran: $100,000 for a 22% equity and a royalty of $10 per unit sold until the investment is paid back.
After landing the Shark Tank deal, Chloe and Lam shared the photo below and wrote that that heart-shaped bag shown is in production. When socialite and DJ Paris Hilton saw it, she replied: “Need!”
