On the new TLC reality show My Little Life follows the lives of five young adults who are little people. In addition to their size and the hardships that come with it, they have something else in common: they’re all looking for love. There’s a 21-year-old single mom with a 3-year-old daughter. A college student who loves to paint. A firefighter who clams up when he’s around women. A 33-year-old woman who considers having a baby on her own. And then there’s Lee, a 3’11” tall man who is head-over-heels for an average-size woman named Bailey. “She’s a huge part of my life,” Lee says. But that doesn’t mean their relationship is easy.
For a little person, Lee is actually pretty small, he says. Still, Lee says his life isn’t much different from other guys his age — although comparing himself to the guys he thinks Bailey wants to be with is “painful” for him. On My Little Life, Lee says “I didn’t really identify myself with other little people. When I’m with normal size people, I’m normal. But the moment I start dating a little person girl, that becomes my identity.” He adds, “I deserve to date an average size person.” My Little Life airs Tuesdays at 10pm on TLC, right after Little People, Big World.
