Brynn Cartelli is the 14-year-old from Longmeadow, Massachusetts who’s competing on Season 14 of The Voice. For her Blind Audition Brynn sang “Beneath Your Beautiful.” On Team Kelly, she won her Battle Round against Dylan Hartigan after singing “…Ready For It?” And now for her Knockout Round, Brynn is singing the Rascal Flatts power ballad “Here Comes Goodbye.” (“Here Comes Goodbye” was co-written by American Idol, Season 6 finalist Chris Sligh.)

The big challenge for Brynn is finding the emotional connection. The song is about a person realizing his lover is about to leave him. “Here comes the pain, here comes me wishing things had never changed” is one of the repeated lyrics. Can a 14-year-old evoke such emotion while singing a song? If anyone can, it’s Brynn Cartelli. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
