CreaClip is a handheld plastic leveler designed for people to cut their own hair at home. The inventor of CreaClip, Mai Lieu of Honolulu, Hawaii, pitched her business on Shark Tank in May 2016. CreaClip isn’t the only product Lieu pitched. Under the business name CreaProducts, she sells CreaNails (nail stencils) and CreaLash (a shield for applying mascara), among others. She went into the Tank seeking an investment of $200,000 in exchange for 10 percent equity. She made a deal with Lori Greiner — $200k for 22.5 percent.

Less than one year after Shark Tank, Lieu invested in a new restaurant, Fish & Poi Co., in Honokaa, Hawaii. Her business partner is martial arts champ B.J. “The Prodigy” Penn. The restaurant is located in the CreaProducts building which she owns. She told her local newspaper that she plans to add a shave ice store, where she hopes to work with kids who are interested in learning about entrepreneurship. New episodes of Shark Tank (Season 9) air Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
