Steven Markley and James Arcaro are the two entrepreneurs behind Reely Hooked Fish Co., a healthy, smoked fish dip. The two fishermen use chunks of smoked Kingfish that they catch on their boat in the Atlantic Ocean. Brine it, smoke it, and mix it with Greek yogurt — no mayonnaise or cream cheese or preservatives. When not fishing or making dip, Markley and Arcaro work hard as native wildland firefighters in Pembroke Pines, Florida. They’re pitching Reely Hooked Fish Co. on Shark Tank on Sunday, November 12.

Reely Hooked Fish Co. faces a number of obstacles common for food companies on Shark Tank. For starters, the product has a limited shelf life. Secondly, Reely Hooked Fish Co.’s smoked fish dip is only available in Florida and at six retail food markets. Have Markley and Arcaro proven that people want and are willing to buy smoked fish dip? Keep on an eye on sharks Lori Greiner and Robert Herjavec who in 2012 invested in Back 9 Dips which used anchovies in its chicken dip and eventually folded after a recall. Shark Tank airs Sundays at 9pm and 10pm on ABC. [27 Favorite Shark Tank Products at Amazon]
