The Clean Bottle is a reusable water bottle designed so both ends of the bottle can screw off making cleaning the bottle easier. The inventor of The Clean Bottle, David Mayer of Boston, Massachusetts – and his friend NBA legend Bill Walton – pitched the business on Shark Tank in 2012. After much deliberation, Mayer accepted a $60,000 investment from Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban in exchange for 8 percent equity. Mayer went into the Tank seeking $60,000 for 5 percent.
