ReadeREST is a clever invention – it’s a magnetic clip that holds eyeglasses when attached to a shirt. The inventor of ReadeREST, Rick Hopper of Orange County, California, pitched his $1.4 million business on Shark Tank in 2012. After much consideration, Hopper accepted a $150,000 investment from Lori Greiner in exchange for 65 percent equity. Greiner reassured Hopper that she would make him a millionaire.

After Shark Tank, Hopper and Greiner appeared together on QVC and sold out of ReadeREST (see photo below). And new ReadeREST designs feature flowers, hearts and wings, Swarovski crystals, and pairs of sunglasses. Prices vary from $9.99 to $21.99. Hopper has more inventions up his sleeve. On the ReadeREST blog he mentions his Hang Track, which keeps clean clothes from falling off your door trim onto the floor (video below), and Did-It, which is a patented product made to help people manage their medications, among others.
