Husband and wife team Jason and Angelica Sweeting are the founders of Naturally Perfect Dolls. They were inspired by their two daughters Sophie and Sydney to create a line of dolls that represent girls of color. During their pitch on Shark Tank, Angelica said that although multicultural children are now the majority, “less than 10 percent of dolls represent them.” They made a deal with Daymond John — $200,000 for 30 percent equity in the company, and 10 percent committed to charity.

The four different Naturally Perfect Dolls – Angelica, Brielle, Camryn, and Kennedy – were available online for $84.99 each but are currently sold out. Naturally Perfect Dolls told 2paragraphs on June 2 that “The (last) Shark Tank episode literally wiped our inventory out,” and that they are discussing what can be done for the re-airing of the episode. Update: As of March 2018, the Naturally Perfect Dolls website is no longer active. According to Kickstarter, Sweeting launched a fundraising campaign for a line of girl action figures based on elements in the periodic table called The Epic Ellements (see video below).
