In the Lifetime TV movie A Mother Betrayed, Monica (Lynn Collins) is a successful architect who lives in a big fancy house with her adorable daughter Maddie. But Monica is lonely. After losing her husband Jonathan in a tragic car accident, she doesn’t think she’ll ever find love again until she meets Kevin (Adam Kaufman). They get married and Kevin adopts Maddie. But as soon as the ink dries on the adoption papers, Monica starts to have headaches and memory lapses. Her “friend” Lisa suggests seeing a doctor who will give her a prescription. Monica ends up in a mental hospital while Kevin (with the help of Lisa) is about to inherit Monica’s fortune.
