Breathometer is a breathalyzer device that plugs into the audio headphone jack of smartphones. Just blow at the LED illuminated hole for 5 seconds and by using the free app, users can see his/her current blood alcohol level. It also tells users how long before they are “back to zero” and it can call a cab directly from the app.

The breathometer is small enough to fit in a pocket and it weighs less than one pound. It’s shareable, too. The only snag is that users have to send it back to get it recalibrated after 9 months or 250 tests. And it costs $20 for the recalibration. Breathometers are available at the Breathometer website for $50.
