Call Dwyane Wade a Kevin Durant fanboy and the recently retired Miami Heat legend won’t argue. He’ll stand up instead and say count me twice. Wade never played with Durant, but he had some fierce battles against him — and he knows that Durant is, as he often describes himself, just a pure “hooper.” Offensively, there is simply nobody in the NBA with Durant’s ridiculous toolkit, and he’s a defensive presence too.
Even with all the things @KDTrey5 has done. This is the most fan(ed) out I’ve been. He knew he wasn’t right but he wanted to be there for his brothers. That’s sports! That’s love!

When KD came back from injury and got hurt again in the NBA Finals, the sad moment of his second injury drew sympathy from every corner of the basketball world. But perhaps no one assessed the scene like Wade, who said Durant’s effort made Wade the “most fan(ed) out I’ve ever been.”
Wade recognized the vagaries of sports in general at play, and didn’t blame anybody for the injury. He also knew that love was the culprit — Durant’s love for his teammates and the game.
Wade said of Durant: “He knew he wasn’t right but he wanted to be there for his brothers. That’s sports! That’s love!”
