Sen. Bernie Sanders continues his unofficial role as Trump’s shadow president — the most prominent and recognized American elected official offering a legislative alternative to people Trump largely appealed to — economically disenfranchised Americans. Sanders has railed against Trump’s Billionaires Club of a cabinet, the richest in history. How is installing insiders and billionaires, Sanders asks, looking out for the average Joe — as Trump promised to do?
Sanders isn’t pulling punches either. Last week he was frank in calling Trump a “fraud” about the billionaire cabinet picks. This week Sanders told CNN that President Trump is “delusional.” When he said there were “3 to 5 million illegals who voted in the last election. That is delusional,” Sanders said. Sanders is not just saying Trump’s a delusional fraud— he also called him a “pathological liar.” Sanders also said “we have a president who does not understand what the constitution is about.”
