U.S. Representative Brendan Boyle (D-PA) responded to comments made by his Pennsylvania colleague, U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA), about the possibility leaving the party after asserting that the Democratic Party has become “very anti-Israel.”
Fetterman told NBC News: “If the Democratic caucus doesn’t want me, they could just let me know.” When asked if he would become an independent or Republican, Fetterman said “We’re not there.”
Fetterman says he hasn't talked to Thune about a party switch. Asked if ditching Dems means becoming an independent or a Republican, he said: "We’re not there." Have Ds already crossed his line? He laments "the very anti-Israel party that we’re becoming." https://t.co/KGgNL8fwgG

Boyle responded to Fetterman’s interview by writing on social media: “I have to congratulate Sen Dave McCormack [stet] and FOX News. Give credit where credit is due. They are playing him like a fiddle. We all know how this movie ends. It’s obvious to everyone.”
[NOTE: Though this particular interview aired on NBC, Boyle’s comment refers to Fetterman’s frequent appearances on Fox, unusual for a prominent Democrat.]
Earlier this month, Fetterman and Sen. Dave McCormick (R-PA) created a joint fundraising committee (JFC), allegedly after “a couple of big donors” approached the two and asked if they could give to both. “Whatever we raise, we split,” said McCormick.

McCormick last week told Puck News: “My relationship with Sen. Fetterman is probably the biggest surprise I’ve had since coming to the Senate. He campaigned against me, and he was a very good, very snarky campaigner. We sat down after I won and just hit it off.”
When asked if he’s spoken to Fetterman about changing parties, McCormick said: “No, never. I never want him to do anything that’s not what he wants to do.”
