Rep. James Comer told Fox News that he and Sen. Chuck Grassley have reviewed a whistleblower letter alleging “a criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national.” Comer said that both he and Grassley found the source “credible.”
Comer, who has launched multiple investigations since becoming chair of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, has targeted President Biden since day one, as he promised his constituents he would.
Comer is among many Republicans, including Rep. Lauren Boebert and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, pushing the narrative that Biden has participated in influence peddling during his half century in American politics.
In his interview with Sean Hannity on Fox, Comer reveals more than just his having reviewed the letter. In a bombshell admission that goes unacknowledged in the interview, Rep. Comer reveals that his understanding of the conduct and professionalism of the FBI derives from what Fox News and Hannity have previously presented — in other words, Comer isn’t delivering news to Hannity; Hannity is framing the story for Comer.
Asked by Hannity about the alleged “exchange of money for policy decisions,” Comer delivers this explosive admission:
“Well, Sen. Grassley and I both reviewed that disclosure. We find it very credible. We’re very concerned. We have a lot of questions as to whether or not the FBI even looked into this. We know from your previous reporting that you’ve already stated on the show that they turned a blind eye to anything pertaining to Joe Biden and they just assume the worst when they look into anything that pertains to former President Trump. So we’re very concerned.”
🚨I have reviewed credible whistleblower disclosures that then-VP Joe Biden allegedly engaged in a bribery scheme with a foreign national.

Given the severity of these allegations, we acted swiftly.
I sent a subpoena to the FBI.

Comer here says plainly that he believes the FBI is professionally negligent because Sean Hannity says that the FBI is professionally negligent.
Speaking with Newsmax, Grassley has been more cautious than Comer, saying of the Biden allegation: “It is a very serious allegation. I wish I could say that I knew it was true or untrue.”
