Entrepreneur Howie Busch from Long Island, New York likes to lounge and likes to lounge leisurely. That’s why he launched the men’s apparel line DudeRobe. Imagine a robe made of premium sweatshirt material and lined with a super absorbent towel and that’s the $75 DudeRobe. (Available in DudeColors: Navy Blue and Heather Gray, in two sizes: S/M and L/XL.) Busch raised more than $67,000 via a Kickstarter (which had a $25k goal) and now he’s pitching DudeRobe on Shark Tank (January 14).
Who is this guy Busch, a dude who wants something absorbent to wear after the shower? This entrepreneur who went to Walmart and bought a bunch of towels and asked his tailor Jose to make him a hoodie and sweatpants? Busch is a longtime sports agent and attorney. He was the attorney for Under Armour’s first ever licensing deal with the NFL, and helped football player Bill Goldberg transition into a WWE professional wrestler, among other work for sports clients. New episodes of Shark Tank (Season 9) air Sundays at 9pm and 10pm on ABC. [Related: 27 Favorite Shark Tank Products — New List]
