U.S. Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD), Ranking Member on the House Oversight Committee, sent a letter today to Captain Sean P. Barbabella, Physician to the President, requesting four things, including:
- A list of the 22 medical providers who participated in the President’s May 26, 2026 examination, and the “clinical indication for each consultation.”
- A public release of the complete results of the examination.
- A complete list of all medications the President is currently taking, including dosages.
- Make yourself available for a briefing, under oath, with Members of the Committee.
[NOTE: Raskin wrote to Dr. Barbabella in April to request a comprehensive cognitive and neurological assessment of the President, but “that deadline came and went with no meaningful response,” Raskin said.]
"I am deeply concerned about why such a large team is now necessary. The White House has so far refused to say who all those doctors were"

Raskin voiced concern about the size and secrecy of Trump’s medical team, and the extent of the care the president received, asking “why does a routine physical for a man supposedly in ‘excellent health’ require a medical team nearly the size of a major league baseball team roster?”
The congressman noted that Trump has visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland three times in 13 months, and added, “No president in recent history has been to the hospital nearly so frequently.”
[NOTE: After the May examination, Dr. Barbabella wrote a memo and described the bruises on Trump’s hand as “common,” “benign” and “consistent with minor soft tissue irritation related to frequent handshaking in the setting of aspirin use for cardiovascular prevention.”]
