Georgia conservative radio host Shelley Wynter of 95.5 FM WSB announced on-air that he’s endorsing Democratic U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) for reelection.
[NOTE: Ossoff is running against Trump-endorsed U.S. Representative Mike Collins (R-GA). After Collins won the GOP primary Tuesday, Trump referred to Ossoff as “a pathetic failed Dumocrat Senator, Os(jerk!)off, who is a joke in D.C. Nobody even knows who he is!!!” and promised to do “Big TRUMP Rallies for Mike in Georgia!”]

Wynter said on Wednesday on his show: “I’m here to tell you live on the radio that I am Team Ossoff for the rest of the summer, and I will do everything I can possible on this show to get you re-elected.”
He added, speaking about Ossoff, “Everything you’re doing, everything you’ve done, I agree with. I have some minor disagreements on some smaller issues, but on the big things, I’m on your team.”
The X account “Democratic Wins Media” responded to the news, writing “This is huge.”

[NOTE: In May, Wynter told his listeners if Derek Dooley wasn’t the GOP candidate, he would vote for Ossoff.]
As seen and heard below, Wynter slammed those who defended Collins’ campaign after it attacked the wife of Dooley (who was endorsed by Governor Kemp) with a crude joke.
Wynter said, “You have lost the moral center… You are a bottom feeder in society.” (Collins apologized for the comments made by an aide who was fired.)
Wynter added: “If @DerekDooleyGA is not the candidate, I’m voting for Jon Ossoff… That kind of behavior, that kind of campaign… will never, ever get my vote…I don’t care what letter is after the name.”

Georgia conservative Debbie Dooley, one of the original founders of the Tea Party movement (unrelated to Derek Dooley), also wrote on social media: “I cannot in good conscience vote for Mike Collins in November. He has a ton of baggage and is unfit for office.. Georgia will lose a 4th Senate seat in a row.”
