After the Trump administration indicted and captured Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro on Friday, former White House official and DOGE advisor and spokesperson Katie Miller, wife of Stephen Miller, posted a map of Greenland covered in an American flag and wrote: “SOON.”
Note: Trump has repeatedly said that the U.S. should “get” Greenland for national security reasons although it is a self-governing territory within the Kingdom of Denmark, with its status recognized under international law.

The Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen responded, telling Bloomberg: “If the U.S. chooses to attack another NATO country militarily, then everything stops including NATO and thus the security that has been established since the end of the Second World War.”
As seen below on CNN, Jake Tapper asked Stephen Miller, “Can you rule out that the U.S. is ever to going to take Greenland by force?”

STEPHEN MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO.
TAPPER: So you can't take military force off the table?

Miller repeated Trump’s stance that “Greenland should be a part of the United States,” and noted that Greenland has a population of 30,000, and questioned the right of Denmark controlling Greenland.
When pressed for an answer about the possibility of the U.S. using military force to take Greenland, Miller eventually said, “There’s no need to even talk about this is in the context that you’re asking of a military operation.”
He added, “Nobody’s going to fight the United States militarily over the future of Greenland.”
While some MAGA supporters are cheering the Millers’ messages, Democrats including the press office of Governor Gavin Newsom are responding with insinuations that Mrs. Miller is a Russian propagandist. See fictional Russian passport image of Miller below.

Dave Troy responded: “I regret to inform that this is all very simple, and dumb: since 2017, Putin has been trying to goad Trump into seizing Venezuela and Greenland. Putin thinks this will cement the ‘Monroe Doctrine’ as US policy, which he thinks will drive US disengagement from Ukraine.”

Former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul also responded: “The U.S. does not need to annex Greenland! We can access bases for our soldiers and mines for minerals through treaties and contracts without invading! This is the 21st century. 19th-century imperialism rightfully ended. This ‘debate’ is truly unhinged. Rational people in DC, please stop it.”
