A hard-working young man named Michael Ingle has come up with a solution to cleaning bed mattresses. It took him two years to create a prototype of his Clean Sleep Machine – “a 16-foot truck filled with technology dedicated to removing dust mites, dead skin and bed bugs from mattresses.” The truck uses ultraviolet light, dry steam, a vacuum, infrared heat and antimicrobial nanotechnology to sanitize a mattress — and it does so in 15 minutes.

Ingle and his staff drive his Clean Sleep Machine to private residencies, hospitals, hotels, and student and military housing. It costs $120 to treat one mattress, and an extra $60 to clean a box spring. Commercial pricing applies to building that have five or more mattresses in need of service. Ingle wants to franchise the business – that’s one reason why he’s pitching Clean Sleep on Shark Tank on February 19, 9pm on ABC.
