Entrepreneur Josh Brooks developed the app Postcard on the Run. It allows users to turn any picture on your smart phone into a postcard and send it anywhere in the world. You can also add audio and video with a scan bar or link. Brooks was able to raise $750k from celebrity singer Selena Gomez who has been helpful in promoting the product to her more than 16 million followers on Twitter. But Brooks needed more money so he pitched the business on Shark Tank. Brooks gets a deal with Robert Herjavec.
As of October 1, 2015, Postcard on the Run has run out of steam. According to its website, the company has closed down the service. Brooks is now Senior Vice President of Brand Strategy and Marketing at Jam City, a mobile gaming platform created in 2010 by former MySpace co-founders Chris DeWolfe and Aber Whitcomb and former 20th Century Fox executive Josh Yguado.
