Sure to be popular among WhatsApp users is the new, extensive message customization options. Android Police reports that the new notification system allows for muting chats, with option for 8 hours, 1 week, or 1 year. (Wonder how popular the 1 year mute will be?)
Probably the best update is the Mark as Unread option, which gives users an easy way to prioritize messages that have already been viewed by highlighting them in the queue as new — without affecting their status in the chat.
