A group of Indiana University athletes invented an insole shock-absorbing technology (PolstarMax 6) to create a line of lightweight running shoes called Forus. The special soles absorb “the pressure of your body weight during a walk or intense work out and eliminates back, calf and spine pain.” The shoes are so lightweight they’re said to feel like a sock.
What’s the catch? Are the super lightweight and comfortable sneakers super expensive? Not really. They’re competitively priced ($75-$110). And 10 percent of all profits are donated to children’s charities, hence, the name “for us.”
