Charles Barkley went against the grain–are you surprised? Is he mad about the failure to indict officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson? “The true story came out from the grand jury testimony,” Barkley told interviewer Mike Missanelli on Philly’s 97.5 The Fanatic radio station. Barkley went on to say that “several black witnesses supported Officer Darren Wilson’s story.” The media “lead people to jump to conclusions.” You can’t believe what you hear on TV, Barkley lamented. “The media shouldn’t do that. They never do that when black people kill each other.”
Barkley works hard not to have his opinion co-opted. He rarely goes with the crowd. “If it wasn’t for the cops we would be living in the wild, wild West in our neighborhoods,” Barkley said. “Do you know how bad some of these neighborhoods would be if it wasn’t for the cops?”
