CNBC’s is profiling all the advantages of being fabulously wealthy on its program The Filthy Rich Guide. One of the recent items is a cozy rental in Beverly Hills called Beverly House. The main house on the six acre property has 50,000 square feet and has 17 bedrooms. The real estate firm Hilton & Hyland rents the property for $600,000 a month. You read that right. Beverly House is apparently for people who can afford $600,000 a month and want a little extra privacy and relaxation—because, you know, their day-to-day lives lack peace and quiet and sufficient luxury.
William Randolph Hearst once owned the 90210 spread–newspapers were once a very good business! Hyland admits to CNBC that the place isn’t rented all the time and that the longest anyone has stayed is two months, which is hardly enough time to use the 30 bathrooms! Maybe film crews explored them all: The Bodyguard and The Godfather were shot at Beverly House. The kicker? It’s probably not the most expensive rental in America. Those, CNBC reveals, are usually not listed publicly but handled on the hush hush–one rich person to another. Hilton & Hyland‘s next most expensive rental is a $475,000 a month Hamptons mansion. It looks swell.
