These days Bow Wow is putting his big time imprint on Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta. The platinum recording artist is an actor/host/producer and plays a bunch of other celeb/mogul roles. But back in 2002, he was just a kid and he had three really big (literally) fans — including 7-foot NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki and 2x NBA MVP Steve Nash. (The third big fan is former Dallas Mavericks star Michael Finley, who may have been better than both those players during his astonishing prime.)
Anyway check out the cool and adorable Bow Wow in 2002 agreeing to sign an autographs for Dirk’s niece, suspiciously also named, yup, Dirk! The Mavs tweeted out the old ad to help celebrate the just-retired Nowitzki’s 41st birthday and Bow Wow retweeted it. Dirk is a pretty good actor — maybe grown-up Bow Wow can cast him in some reality action?
